I am most interested in the Black Rights movement or the Civil Rights movement. I am interested in these movements because they have the most power and voice in my opinion and I feel as if those movements are the most influenced but never fully explained. I am most interested in learning about Oprah Winfrey because she has helped and been on many shows that I have seen but not fully watched. I also do not know anything about her so it will be interesting to learn about her. I have one question for the activist Oprah and it is: "How do you deal with all of the people disagreeing with you?"

When doing the gallery walk I found myself having the most interest in more historical activists such as during the cold war or even farther back in the 1600’s in the reformation of the church. Since history is one of the topics I am most interested in and know about I usually feel most comfortable with the subject. The movements I am most interested in are The Protestant Revolution, Cold War Era, and Independence from colonialism. Following the movements that were mentioned previously I would like to do Galileo as he is a good alternative to Martin Luther with many similar experiences and background. For the Cold War I thought of John F Kennedy as he played a large role in the situation with the Cuban Missile Crisis and more. For Country Independence movements I liked Joan of Arc as even though it was not and independence movement, it involved with similar conflict. I already know much about the topic which makes me comfortable when researching around the historical background but there is always a lot more information that comes from research that just what I already know. For activists not mentioned in the gallery walk matching the historic background are Simon Bolivar for being a large leader for the independence of South America from Spain, which relates to today, such as “The Bolivarian Republic of Venezuela”. Also following the Cold War I think about Mikhail Gorbechev, even though from the outside he may seem like just another communist dictator but in reality he was a reformer like Nelson Mandella. He cut down on communism and loosened up on the aggressiveness of the countries actions. There are plenty others too it will just take too long to list them all. In general when searching for activists I usually like to study more historical topics and movements.

I’m most interested in the women's basketball movement because it’s funny to see how different they played back then rather than now. I’m most interested in Agnes Morley because she was one of the first women to play basketball. Some of the questions I still have about this movement and/or activist is why was the court different for girls than boys? Another activist i would like to research is Earl Lloyd because he is the African American basketball player in the NBA.

I am interested in researching about some of the great acts going against the Vietnam war, this is because I want to learn more about the mistreatment of the people who don’t want to fight. I am interested in researching Muhammad Ali, because he had a very strong voice in his time, and I always hear people talking about him and how great of a person he was. Was Muhammad Ali a nice person, and if not, then why are we saying such great thins about him? I asked this question because in the 1 book i read about him, it said how much he trash talked and how cockey he was. Another activist I would research is Malcom X. I would research Malcom X because I know little to nothing about him, and I am interested in learning what he advocates for, and how he does(or did)it.

I am interested in researching the Protestant Reformation mostly, but also the scientific revolution and the Anglo-French War. I am interested in the Protestant Reformation because I know a bit about Martin Luther and I want to research him in depth. I also like the Protestant Reformation because my mom was a Lutheran, and my family is Episcopalian. I like the scientific revolution because I am a really scientific person. And I know about a good amount of scientists, but not about many that are activists. And I want to research the Anglo-French War mainly because of Joan of Arc.

I am interested in researching the Animal Rights Movement because I don't believe that any animal should be treated cruelly, no matter the species, size, etc. Another reason I want to research This topic is because I also have a pet, and would hate to see him be treated like some other animals who are treated horribly. The activist I'm interested in researching is Temple Grandin because she is an activist who is working to fight against animal rights, as well as rights for disabled people. Another reason I want to research her is because she is trying to bring awareness to 1 of many very horrible things that happen on a daily basis and aren’t talked about. One question I have is why she is so passionate about this, and how did she become interested in the Animal Rights Movement? Another Activist I might want to research is Greta Thunberg, even though she is young...that doesn't mean she can't bring change to the word.

I am very interested in learning about equal rights. This interests me on many levels because I have done projects before and read books about people like Martin Luther King Jr and people like Malala who fight for what they believe in. Fighting for gender equality and for different races would also be an awesome way to understand these situations and our world we live in today, on a deeper level.

The movements I am most interested in researching are women's rights and the rights of people with disabilities. I want to research these topics, because I want to learn more about what women achieved, went through and are going through now to get us where we are today. I also want to learn about people with disabilities that have showed us that they are capable of doing things beyond expectations when given the opportunity. The activists I am most interested in researching are Elizabeth Cady Stanton, Eva Peron, Betsy Ross and Helen Keller, because Elizabeth, Eva, and Betsy were women of achievement that stood up for women's rights and Helen Keller who overcame significant disabilities. Questions I still have about these activists are, what inspired them and what did they achieve? Additional activists that weren’t on the posters that I might want to research are Lucy Burn and Lady Bird Johnson who also stood up for women's rights.

I am most interested in researching animal rights movements and peace movements, because I like animals, and I want to know more about peace activists. I am interested in researching Gandhi, because I know that he was very wise and peaceful, and because I don’t know much about him. I don’t have questions about these movements or activists yet, but when I start researching, I will probably have a few. Another activist I would be interested in researching is Edith Clark.

I am most interested in researching either women's rights or racial justice activists because they are both problems that people still experience in today’s world. With these interests in mind, I would like to research either Julius Rosenwald, Ruth Bader Ginsburg, or Josephine Baker. I would chose Julius Rosenwald because he was way before his time and made a real push to help children in the south. Secondly, I would choose Ruth Bader Ginsburg because she fought for women's rights through an honorable job as a judge for 13 long years. Furthermore, I would choose Josephine Baker who was a strong entertainer who was often judged by the color of her skin but her performance blew the crowd away beyond others judgement. Altho I do know a few things about the movements and activists I choose I want to understand the struggle each activist faced and why the moment they were fighting for was so important to them. If I was to choose another activist I would like to research it would most likely be Matilda Joslyn Gage because she was a strong woman's activist and Native American rights activist. She often pushed boundaries and despite it being illegal at the time she attempted to vote, a quote by Gloria Steinem named her “the woman who was AHEAD of the women who were AHEAD of their time.”

Based on our research on social activists I would like to learn about the women's rights movement, the Civil Rights movement and the NCTA movement. I would like to learn about how women gained their rights because they weren't always there. I would also like to learn about the Civil Rights movement because there are so many people involved with it and so many people who had to go through it, I also think it is important to learn about it so people don’t continue to criticize people based on their skin color, this time period also seems very interesting to learn about. I would like to learn about the NCTA movmet because it stops child abuse and child neglect and I would like to learn how people are protesting to stop it. I would like to learn about Greta Thunburg because She is our age fighting for what she believes in. Misty Copeland because she is a dancer who had to fight against racism. Oprah Winfrey because I would like to see how she is fighting for the NCTA movement. I would like to ask these activist what inspired them to become an activist. I would like to learn about Brittney Griner and Layshia Clarendon because they fought for the LGBTQ rights.

One of the movements I'm interested in is climate change and movements about women's rights. I think knowing about climate change and women's rights is important. Some activists im interested in learning about is Greta thunberg, Harriet Quimby, Freya Stark or Dorothy Day. I think all of the movements they were in are important and more people should learn about them. Some questions I have are about climate change movements and if a lot of people are going to actually do something to help. Or how do many activists get a large group of people to march with them. Additional activists could be Katie Eder, Vic Barrett, or Mary Wollstonecraft.

I am most interested in the Black Rights movement and the Civil Rights movement. These are the most interesting for me because they are similar in some ways and the person that I am thinking of researching on is involved in both of these movements. The activist that I am most interested in researching is Oprah Winfrey. She is very passionate about both of these movements. She also is not a very outspoken person, meaning she is very humble about all that she has done for our country which is an important quality in my opinion for an activist. I have one question for Oprah and it is: “How do you keep going or block out the hate or disagreement that you are probably getting?”. Harriet Tubman is one other person that would be interesting to learn about because first I do not know much about her. She has made a great impact in the world that I would like to learn/research more about.

The movements I'm most interested in are LGBTQ+ rights/acceptance and sexual assault victim justice. Both are very close to my heart because I know people under both categories and I would like to dive deeper to understand better. I feel like both don't get enough credit because people may be afraid of people who are homosexual or people just don't accept or understand them. And it's really not recognized in school and that's an issue because we should be celebrating all people. As for the second movement, it’s also very important to acknowledge this issue because it’s a real thing happening in today’s world. I like to hear people’s personal stories and I’m sure an activist of that field would have some. One of the activists I want to research the most is Laura Bates because she speaks out against sexism and gender equality. She had been assaulted in 2014 and blamed herself afterwards, even though it wasn’t her fault. I believe she would be a good activist for me to research because of her many stories she’s told. I would also want to do Slyvia Rivera. She was a LGBTQ ally activist who also participated in the Stonewall Riots. I don’t know much about her but I know she had a very complicated story that I would love to research. The final person I saw from the gallery walk that I want to research the most is Ellen Degeneres. She has more public fame but she also spent some time as an LGBTQ+ activist. The thing I want to know about all three of them is their journey as activists and what they endured along the way. Finally, the activist that was not on a poster that I’m interested in is Danielle Egnew, a musician who advocates for both LGBTQ+ rights and racial equality.

There are many movements that seem interesting, but the most interesting one to me is the abolitionist movement. The reason why is that the movement had to go through multiple laws and war just to end slavery. The people who helped like Frederick Douglass or Harriet Tubman. These people decided that enough was enough and fought terrible laws. The person I am most interested in is probably Frederick Douglass. His story is lesser known than others stories, but his was still important. The bravery that he put forward in writing anti slavery books. Some questions I still have is how would he get free papers when there is a man who needs the papers? Finally, if there was any other activist I would like to do it is Robert Smalls.

I am most interested in researching movements about color rights and women's rights because it is important to know that everybody has a voice and everybody should be treated the same. And it shouldn’t matter what color your skin is, what gender you are, or what religion you believe in. Lots of people who are activists and stand up for what they believe in and are very motivated to speak out and stand up for what they believe is right. Some activists I am interested in researching are Malcom X, Marley Dias, and Rachel Carson because they all speak out for what they believe in and they aren't afraid to let the world hear their voice. They don’t care what other people think because they know what they are doing is right. There are lots of people who stand up for color rights, civil rights, women's rights, and animal rights, but it is important to know that people matter, but so does the environment. I want to know what sparked Rachel Carson to care so much about the environment to become an activist for it. Environment rights are super important because without a clean environment, people will be living in a world surrounded by trash. Some other activists I am interested in researching are Ruby Bridges, Alaa Murabit, and Harriet Tubman.

Some movements I would like to study are the green belt movement and the disability rights movement. I would choose these movements because the first one was to help our environment and the second was a topic that is personal to me since I have family and friends who are diabled. Two activists I would research are Wangari Maathai and Claudia Jones because one of these people fought to help the environment and the other fought for colored segregation to end which are both topics I would like to learn more about. Some questions I have are How long was the green belt movement? Where was the green belt movement? What type of rights was the disabled rights movement trying to get? Where has the disabled rights mostly taken place? Where were both of these movements started? Who started the disabled rights movement? What did people do during these movements? When did the movements start? If the movements have ended when and why did they end? Two other activists that weren’t on posters that I would research are John Paul Jose and Tiffany Brar. The first one is advocating for climate change to stop. The second one fights for disabled rights. This are both topics I am interested in.

I am most interested in researching about globing warming and environmental movements because it's important to keep the earth safe and clean. As we may change climates and eliminate ecosystems of important animals. The activists I am most interested in are, Rachel Carson and Kathrine Hayhoe because they fight for and work hard to keep the Earth clean and in order. I’m kind of interested in all of the movements, but the movements I am most interested in is probably women's rights, and environmental movements. The activists I’m most interested in researching are Misty Copeland, Oprah, Elizabeth Cady Stanton, Clara Barton, Emma Watson, Greta Thunberg, and Malala. I want to research these people because they’re all amazing, and individually, Misty Copeland is a dancer and I take dance classes so it would be fun to research her, and it is really cool that she is the first black woman to be a high ranking professional dancer. And Greta thunberg is only like 17 years old but she has done so much. And Malala has a very interesting story. Questions I have about the women's rights movement are when did it start and why then, and what goals do they have. I also want to know what Greta Thunberg is protesting about, and if Malala is okay, because I heard she got shot in the head. Some other activists I found that I thought would be interesting to research are Gloria Steinem, and Harriet Tubman (who I know a little about already).

The movements I am most interested in are civils rights movements, and women’s rights because the stories of how they made the movements interest me. I am most interested in researching Jackie Robinson, Oprah Winfrey, and Wilma Rudolph because they all have something to do with all of the movements I am most interested in learning more about. A question I have is what influenced these activists to speak up about their beliefs. Also, if they had any certain emotions before, during, or after they made a speech or made one of their movements. Another activist I would want to research more about is Greta Thunberg because I like to watch her videos because when she makes speeches, she doesn't seem afraid to be speaking in front of the whole world, even though she used to not talk at all. She has also made a pretty big change so far and I would like to learn more about the things she is doing to help the world with climate change.

The movements I am interested in researching are the Civil Rights Movement and Disability rights movement. These movements seem interesting to me because people think they know about these movements, but there is so much more people don't know, including me. Some activists I am interested in researching are Hellen Keller, Muhamad Ali, Roberto Clemente, Malcom X, Abraham Lincoln and Gandhi. I want to research one of these people because the all serve a large roll in history. They all also fought for some of the movements I would like to learn about. Some questions I have for every activist I named are why did they do what they did, and did they think when they first started that they would make a difference? Another activist we could possibly research is John Lennon. He was a member of the Beatles who protested against the Vietnam war, specifically Britain's involvement in the war.

My activist name is Diego his time period was in the 1800’s. He sought for justice for his people mostly the Indians. His actions was painting murals in public places. My other activist name is Thomas Pain his time period was in the 1700’s. He sought for independence for his town and wrote the age of reason, common sense. His actions were nothing he neither sought for wealth or power. My other activist name is Longston Hughes his time period was in the 1900’s. He fought for freedom for inequality and injustice. His actions were making poems and books about how Africans were treated badly.

The movement im most interested in is animal rights or disabled rights, mostly being deaf. I love animals and I always try to find a way to help them out. Also my uncle was deaf and he was a big part of my life and I feel like our community isn't as open about communicating with deaf people. Once my uncle started getting sick, my grandma had to go to all the appointments with him to translate what he was saying, and he wasn't as comfortable with his translator. I feel like our community should be more open with that and I feel very strongly about animal abuse. I think I might research Helen Keller because she was deaf too plus she was blind and I think that’s really inspiring and I would like to learn more about how she did it. My main question about Helen Keller is how did she learn to do basic things while being blind and deaf, my uncle couldn’t talk and Helen learned while being blind, I really want to know how she achieved that goal.

I am most interested in researching activists who protest(ed) for world peace because this is a change that I think would be beneficial for everybody. I am interested in researching The 14th Dalai Lama because his activism is for world peace which is the topic that I think will be most interesting. Some questions I have about this activist is what problems did he try to fix, what problems did he fix and what other problems would he want to fix in the future. Some questions I have about this movement is what would people do to try to gain peace and make other people want to join them, and what other people are part of this movement. Another activist I would like to research might be Mike Bloomberg because he is a leader in the fight against the climate crisis. This topic is another movement I am interested in researching because it would also benefit society

Some activists I’d be interested in researching are Arthur Ashe who was a african american professional tennis player. I would research him because he showed that despite your skin color anyone can become good at a sport or anything you put your mind to. Another activist that I would research would be Helen Keller. She proved that there is always hope . she was blind and deaf but she never let any of that stop her from doing what she loved and enjoyed. The last activist I would research is Oprah Winfrey. She shows that women can do anything that men can do and more, and that there are no limitations to what women can do. A question I would ask is how did they begin? Or how did they start to get to where they are now?.

I am most interested in the Civil Rights movements because if people know about it and know how to stop it, if people ever wanted to be separated again, then there would be people to stop it from happening it again. I would be most interested in researching Mae Jemison because she was the first African-American woman for NASA and first woman to go into space, because she stood up for women's rights and she stood up for African American rights and I think its cool because I am one of the only girls in my hockey league and I know that me and my friends that are girls have inspired other girls to play. I know that when I saw a girl playing that had inspired me to play and Mae Jemison had inspired other women and African African American women to join NASA. My question would be, why wasn't she allowed to go into a rocket until 1991? I would also be interested in researching Sally Ride. She was the first woman in space and she is also really inspiring to me.

One movement that I am most interested in is Civil Rights. One reason why I would like to do this movement because I believe everyone is equal. We should treat people the way we want to be treated. Sometimes change is good for us. For example, when blacks were considered equal they were also involved with the sports world. Some of the greatest athletes were african-american. Jackie Robinson, Moses Fleetwood Walker, Michael Jordan, Muhaamed Ali, and Jim Brown. I think Civil Rights is very important to learn and talk about because we do not want something like that to happen again. If we can prevent such a thing then blacks won’t have to go through that struggle of not feeling equal. Also not involving the sports world, we have people like Martin Luther King Jr., Malcom X, and Rosa Parks who risked their lives to fight for equality. Martin Luther King Jr. was threatened to be killed. People would slide notes under is front door and put them in the mailbox that said if he didn’t stop doing what he was doing, then he would be killed, and his family. This is why I would like to do Civil Rights.
