Here's an example:
I had a funny feeling about this week's blog post. A premonition some would say. It seemed ominous that the blog post was all about vocabulary when we hadn't learned new vocabulary words in a couple of weeks. Why would Mrs. Stillitano give us such a futile task when clearly vocabulary isn't important to her anymore? We already have a plethora of vocabulary words, 60 to be exact, including ones that we've been studying since September. It gets monotonous. Maybe I can cajole her into skipping another week of vocabulary if I promise to know all of the words we already have in our repertoire. No, she'd be impervious to any attempts of bribery or flattery and nonchalantly give us a pop quiz or something. She's notorious for doing things like that. Oh well, I guess I will continue with my relentless studying of ELA vocabulary.
