One of the most popular types of science fiction novels is dystopian literature. These books are set in the future in a society that is supposed to be more "perfect" than our world today, but ultimately has flaws.

If I could change the world and try to make it a better place, then I would change the government because they don’t give the citizens much privacy. Yes, this would have a negative and positive impact on the people, but I think that it will be a better place than before. An positive impact would be is that more people will start trusting the government if we do this. Also more citizens would help the government in many ways if they trust them. Another thing I want to also change is the education. I want to make collages free for all people so that more people could be educated and be more smart to invent more things. That is the two things I want to change in this society.

as I said to trishma, no matter what, there is someone that is "Evil". You brought up the government, but if the government gets the trust of the people, they can do whatever they desire, like Hitler. Hitler gained trust, he made the germans look good, and look what happened, he used his trust for evil.

Your idea of a perfect world is great because I haven't thought of the idea of privacy to the citizens and about college being free. A question that I have is that how did you know that the government don't give very much privacy to citizens? A thing you could improve in is that you can write about the negative impacts on your society and/or government. You did a great job explaining why it is good for the people.

I feel like the government is giving us privacy. You don’t really explain how they are not. So you not explaining is make your argument harder for you to convince people. The college has to charge money because. How else are they going to pay all the people working at the college. Same with our school. JDMS isn’t free. Our parents are still paying for us to learn. So I can’t agree with you on this argument. But if you can find a way to explain your thoughts more it would be better for you in your argument.

Dev I agree with you I think it would be great if the government gave us more privacy. I think people would help the government more like you said yourself like maybe stick up for the government if they mess up. I also agree with your idea of free college that would give so many new jobs to those people and then the world would pick up pace on new ideas for inventions. I think You pretty much summed it up Dev I think the world would be a much better place if we gave free college and privacy from the government to every person in the world.

I like that you knew that there was a negative side to your thought. If you said what you thought the negative was It could've made it stronger. I also thought your second idea was good because if a person is smart they may be poor too, since college isn't free they couldn't go. You may also want to proofread next time because your point was great but you had grammar problems.

We all dream of a perfect world. In my perfect world, I would get rid of social classes. No one would be poor or rich or middle class. Everyone would just be people. Since you become rich or poor by an abundance or lack of money, there would be no money or trading. For example, farmers would provide food and people would come take it. Weavers and sewers would make clothes for people. They would of course have to set aside some for themselves. This would not work because people would not be willing to give up their work for no compensation. The government would be almost like a monarchy, having one person in charge, but that person would be elected by popular vote. Each country would have their own leader but elected the same way. Any laws that wanted to be passed would have to be approved by popular vote by the people that it concerned. For example, if it was a law that only concerned one country, only the people of that country would vote. If it concerned people around the world, everybody would vote. Education would be almost exactly like it is now except the classes would be smaller and students would be sorted according to learning speed. When students reach high school level, each student would be able to study deeper into the field that they want to study in college and have a career in. This would improve education because nobody would be held behind or rushed in their education and while they would get the basics that everybody needs like math and science, they would still be able to study what interests them and what they want in their future. This could have a negative effect on the society because there would need to be more teachers and that would mean less people to create the supplies that are necessary to survival like food and shelter. This perfect world depends entirely on the generosity of humans and the willingness to do something based merely on the fact that you enjoy doing it which may never happen but would be a perfect world.

Sarah, I think you have some really great insights on these very important topics. I agree with all of your ideas, but specifically with your point about how money is an issue. My “perfect” world be very different than our world today. In my world everyone would be equal. There will not be an racism in my world. Nobody can be mean to another person. In school, kids wouldn’t be bullied and if there was a someone bullying he or she would have severe consequences. For example being suspended from school, or the bully’s parents would have to pay a hefty fine because of the actions of the bully. Every kid will have a right to education and can be what they want to be when they grow up to be an adult. This can be a problem because if the parent can’t pay for the child’s education, money will be taken out of the government to pay for the students education. I will also use more renewable sources like solar power than non renewable sources like fossil fuels. Fossil fuels are harmful to the earth. This also could be an issue because renewable sources are more expensive than non renewable sources. That would be my “perfect” world.

I would try my best to create more jobs with higher pay so everyone could have a job that pays well. The last thing I would do to make the world a better place is if a students grades are bad then i would give them an hard project at the end of the marking period to make their grade improve a whole letter. My perfect world would be kind of like this one. It has death, because if too many people are born and nobody dies, then there would be a lot of over population. There would also be disease because without disease we wouldn’t have any of the technological advancements that we have. I would just have no terrorist attacks because i want everybody to live a good life. There would also be enough technology to discover a new planet like Earth, but in a different galaxy, so when Earth eventually blows up, we will live.

I agree with your idea. But there are some flaws. You can’t control people's emotions. So if feel like they need to rebel, well then they will rebel. Also what if our technology is not good enough to find another planet. We right now haven’t even gotten out of our galaxy at all. Our drones have only gotten past pluto and his friends. At this rate we will only find another galaxy and probably not find a planet good enough to suit our needs. I do hope that I am wrong and we do find a new planet to. I also hope no one rebels. But only time will tell.

Also school would start a little later everyday, so that everyone can get more sleep. I also think that we should have as many snow days that we need, so that we do not have to go school in bad weather conditions. Also, if you aren’t good at a sport but still like to play it, we should have one good team who plays other good teams and one okay team that plays other okay teams. My perfect world would be a place where race doesn’t matter and everyone is free to be whoever they want to be. I want a place where women are treated with respect. Women should be aloud equal opportunities in the workforce and be able to make their own decisions. Kids shouldn’t have to be perfect at everything and not have to prove themselves to their parents. Kids should be loved unconditionally by their parents and shouldn/t have to earn that either. When kids feel alone especially when their own parents don’t show that they care for them their kids could be suicidal and that should never happen to anyone but especially kids. This world could be a whole lot better if we just looked at everyone as equals and treated them with respect.

If I could create a perfect world, I would make sure everyone would think before speaking because I feel that too many people regret half of the things that leave their mouths. This would stop quite a bit of hatred because usually people dislike someone because they said something they didn’t really want to say, it was just a bad impulse. Unfortunately, this would probably slow down impulse and be nearly impossible to achieve. Here in the US, I would change the way we elect the president to a popular vote. I see almost no harm in this except for having people angry because electoral votes are the way it has always been.

One of the most important things I would build my world around is that everybody is created equally no matter the religion or skin color. There would be one government for the whole world. First, I like the fact that you talked about all people being created equal, as well as no war or nuclear weapons. Also, I agree with your statement that "everybody got an education." On the other hand, I disagree that everyone is allowed to go to college for free. If everyone went for free, this would mean that the middle and upper classes would be taxed more. Furthermore, I believe that the citizens should vote for the government officials, as you said. In conclusion, I believe that even though your "perfect" world could use some changes, it would work out pretty well in the real world.

In my perfect world, there would be no accidental deaths by gun or knife. There would be one government that could do it all. No Republican or Democratic party would rule the government and the country. But like today there would still be a congress and voting would still take place here to help the people choose the right leader. There would be no poverty, people could live in small houses that would be perfect for each family and I would make sure everybody has a job that fits them well by having everybody take a quiz that matches them with their perfect job. I would make sure that nature is stable and thriving by appointing nature guides to fill our blank spots about all of the wonders that nature still holds. However there can never be a perfect world as much as we try to. For example if some how someone in the city caught a deadly disease it would spread like wild fire and kill off the population. No civilization is perfect but we can still make it better than what we got.

If healthy environmental place for people to live in without the concern of an unhealthy environment i think there should be a fine when garbage workers don’t dump so much trash out into the ocean that causes for many fish to mutate or die so then people won’t throw their trash i could make a perfect world i would make solar panels cheaper to allow for there to be a out in the road or in other people's garbage cans. I would try to work with other countries to better our country and theirs (if needed). I would try to make people want to recycle a lot more because only 30% of bottles don’t get recycled which allowed to fix it. That is what i would do if i could make a perfect world. Kids will get to go to college for free but will have to pay later for tuition (you can still pay it while during college instead of paying later.) If I could have a perfect world I would make a lot of changes to the school system. First, I would make smaller class sizes. This would give kids more individual time with their teacher but also still let them be with their friends. This would be more expensive because the government would have to hire more teachers but it would also create more jobs. Secondly, I would get rid of tests and quizzes. Tests and quizzes stress kids out and can make kids blank on information they know. This means that the teacher will falsely think that a kid doesn't know something when they actually did and we're just stressed. I would replace them with more meaningful experiences and have several different ways of figuring out a kids knowledge so if someone wan't good at one thing they would have a fallback.

Every would be treated equal and wouldn't be bullying and people getting left out. Everyone would have a good education and would be able to attend school. The government couldn't take people's houses away and the laws wouldn't change a lot from today's but everyone would follow the rules and wouldn't break the rules. My perfect world would be a great world and I think everyone would agree.

My perfect world would have there be no taxes and everything is free. There would be no weapons or bombs. There would be school for 3 days a week and the teacher would be a human with a robot assistant. There would be a medicine that brings someone back to life and there would be. There would be no ruler for a country, but a group of people that decide laws and ideas. In school, there would be no homework or long essays. Everybody could stay at one age their whole life and could continue growing whenever they wanted to.

I like the idea of school only being three days a week but if everything was free why would people work. Would they still work? They would have to, to fill the jobs of Teachers, Fire Fighters, Docters, rulers of the country, people that make the stuff that would be free etc. If we didn't work to make a living because everything was free then why would we go to school, because school is getting you ready to work, by teaching you the basic things. If we could live forever which I think most people would chose, there would be a huge amount of over population.

My perfect world would have many things. Schools would use IPads instead of paper and the IPads would replace textbooks and worksheets, saving paper and reducing the weight students normally have to carry on their backs dramatically. IPads sound like a good Idea but it isn’t super good for kids brains to look at electronic devices all day. Certain classes would be optional, meaning you could switch those ones out with another class, this would give students more choice in their education hopefully making them enjoy it and try harder to do their best, but their would probably still be kids who didn’t try as hard as they could have. My citizens would also all be kind, caring people. The government would make it mandatory that everyone finish their education and get a job if they can so that everyone contributes to the community, but there would be those people that wouldn’t try hard and would not really contribute to the community. People would also have to do some sort of community service project within the last two years and have it approved by the government in order to graduate college. In order to retire people would have to have a certain amount of money in their savings account or they would have to keep working, until they got their this would hopefully convince people to start saving earlier so they could retire. All of these things would make my society seem to be a better place for everyone, but it does indeed have flaws.

Katelyn, I love your idea on letting kids choose classes and make their education more interesting rather than a routine, or boring. I like the way this entry flows through and fits good with all of your ideas. I do agree that our society has flaws, but some of your ideas are a good fix for that problem. My favorite idea is having all kids finish their education and not drop out because it is important that everyone gets their fair share in knowledge.

There are many qualities that would constitute a perfect society. Many of these components consist of aspects in government, citizenship, education, law, and communities in an attempt to create a well governed society. The government in a perfect world would be similar to how the United States is governed. There would be a system of checks and balances so that not one person has complete control. Citizenship would consist of several factors. A person is automatically a citizen if they are born in the country. This however, is not the only way to become a citizen. Another option would be to live in the country for at least ten years. In a perfect world, everyone has access to education. Peers would be grouped according to age. A school day would last for seven hours. The four core classes such as English would be mandated, but they remaining hours of the school day would be left to the choice of the students. In a perfect society, crime would not exist; laws would never be broken. People would always get along; conflict would not exists. As a result, wars would never occur. In a perfect society, communities would come together peacefully and help each other in times of need. All of these components could create world peace. Although these concepts may sound like they would promote a healthy world, it could also have a few negative aspects. Creativity and uniqueness may be deterred if everything is already planned out and there was never conflicts. Sometimes conflicts are not a bad thing, but allow people to question thoughts. This at times can bring forth better ideas. This is only a sketch of what a perfect world could look like; many ideas can always be modified. I am not sure that a perfect world could exists, but we can always try our best to make the world perfect.

My perfect society would look very different to what society looks like now. First, all countries would have a democracy as their government, like the US does. Second, I would have all companies stop burning oil and natural gas. We burn way to much of it and in the long run it can hurt society. So, I would have all companies use solar panels instead. Lastly, I would change the education in America. In my opinion, the common core isn't a good way to judge how smart a kid is. I would change the education system back to what it was in the late 1900s. If this is the society we lived in today, I believe almost everything on earth would be perfect.

What my “perfect” world would look like is by having no real countries. Everyone would be open to travel to any country without a visa. My government would be having three different people that were all elected by the citizens. Every person over the age of ten can vote, women and men can vote, a person of any race can vote. These three people that were elected would have half the power, but the citizens get the other half. This would be fair by checks-and-balances. The government would have the power to create roads, build schools, and deal with criminal cases. But, the citizens have the power to make a government leader resign if they are becoming too powerful and choose another person to get elected to that position. The parents of a child also have the right to put them in any school they want to around the world, and the teachers have the right to kick out any child if they want by a good reason. This would be my “perfect” world, and I hope that the world will be a better place even if it doesn’t become a utopian world.

I think your perfect world is pretty good overall but there are a few flaws. For example you said that anybody over the age of ten can vote. That probably wouldn't be very smart because kids tend to make a lot of mistakes when growing up. Some people may say that you need mistakes to improve things but kids would sometimes do it as a joke and they might be the cause of a major disruption in the "perfectness" of the world. Another flaw that I found is that you said that parents had the right to put children in any school around the world which may seem like a good idea but isn't. The child could quickly get homesick or become very mad at their parents which would not be good. But overall I think you did a good job.

There are a few flaws in your "perfect" world. A few of them would be that if people over the age of ten could vote, some children do not know about politics and vote for bad and lying politicians, that could be easily corrupted. Also, if a teacher has a right to kick out any child for any good reason, couldn't a teacher abuse that power? A good aspect of your utopia is that the citizens can vote to overthrow a corrupt leader.

Stefan that is a nice way to form a government but what if one government rep. Would go crazy and have the nuke codes or some other dangerous thing and we want to kick him out but he says he will blow up the world so we have to keep him. also If children vote at the age of 10 wouldn't their vote be kind of wrong just because they're not old enough. But over all the utopian that you made I would be fine to live in.

I really thought the idea of the "no real countries" was confusing and could have been elaborated on. I like the idea of spliting the power with the citizens so that they'd have a say in everything. There could've been more explaining on the outcome of your decision. In all it was a pretty nice blog but it was a little confusing.

In my perfect world, all people would have the same rights, whether their religion or race. Instead of war, country leaders would discuss their issues and make an agreement. If they would settle their problems by talking, their would be no need for violence and hatred. Every child would have an education which would lead to more people getting jobs and making money. Also, if someone has a better education, they would be able to invent new things which would create more jobs. In my perfect world, there would be no more fast food. Fast food is incredibly unhealthy and is the biggest factor in childhood obesity. Instead of fast food, there would be more nutritious foods such as fruits and vegetables. In my perfect world, people wouldn't be judged on how they look but rather by what they do or have done.

A perfect world to me has many elements to it .One thing that would be in my perfect world is to have no families not be able to afford food . The negative thing about this is that we can’t just get money out for know where. To get the families the money they need I would make a paper that you have to fill out that has like how much money to need to pay for all of your bare essentials .Then the companies and or places that people work for will look at the paper you fill out and figure out your minimum wage how much money you need. This would be a law that companies and places people work have to do.In my world I would not want everyone to look the same or dress the same because in life we are all different and that is want makes life so great . Some of the laws I would have in my perfect world would be The paper to find your minimum wage before you can be hired for a job, Go to any school district you would like as long as you have a way to get to school and get home from school. This so what my perfect world would be like.

Natalie I agree with your perfect world. I thought it was very sincere. I like your idea of filling out the piece of paper for your bare essentials. It was very creative and would be good in a "Perfect World." The minimum wage idea for a person to give the company would fit each individual, depending on they're family size, and what they need to pay for it very well. Also I really liked that everyone would be different. I think it is very true that everyone is different, and they should be who their personality is. In my perfect world all sicknesses would be cured. Cancers, diseases, epidemics, all of them, gone. But, to find the cures we would need a lot of money, which leads me to the next factor of my perfect world. The rich would be taxed more than the middle class and the poor, until each class had the same amount of money, so there would be no more classes. The money from the taxes would go to government funding for research and to the poor(evening the classes). Also in my perfect world there would be gender and racial equality. Women would be paid the same amount as men and people would not be prejudiced by the color of their skin. As for education, school days would be shorter, you could choose your electives, homework loads would be smaller, the chairs in the school would be more comfy, and test and quizzes wouldn’t be the way of making sure a kid was learning. There would be more entertaining, yet educational things to do, like games, experiments, and field trips. Everyone has a different “perfect world”, but this is mine.

As I would agree with your cures from as sicknesses and taxes of the rich to make no classes there are a few flaws with this. First would be the people rioting. Even though most people would be happy with no classes the upper class is definitely not going to be happy because no matter how hard you try there’s always someone to disagree with you. This is not bad its what makes our kind so diverse. As of right now in this day and age it would not work taxing the rich a lot more because right now most wealthy people have power over the average class. So the taxes would not work and we would not get enough money for research. Also there are always going to be more and more different diseases everyday so it’s very unlikely even with all the money in the world to cure everything. I agree to disagree with your excality theroy, as it would be nice to forget all of that their are people that are different and that's great. It’s when they turn into idiotic violence like bad riots and protests when it gets out of hand. Overall I definitely agree with you and it would be great but yet again always people who disagree.

If I could choose my perfect world it would be a world filled with love, laughter, and joy, not violence. People would help each other, be there for others when they need a shoulder to cry on, and help others get up after they've been brought down. Women and men would have equal rights and and no one would be judged by their skin color and culture. Kids would have a great education. All the schools would start later in the day so that when they went to school they wouldn't be tired to learn they would actually be excited. Instead of sitting around and listening to their teachers talking for hours and hours they would do hands on activities to learn about the things that interest them. Also, each and every student would have an apple computer for school activities because if it's the 21st century why not take advantage of the technology we have today. Kids wouldn't be sitting around all day they would be up and moving because it appears today that all we do is 1) sit 2) get up and go to a different class 3)sit down again and listen to the teacher talk , and repeat it over and over again.

If I could have a perfect world, everyone would always be happy and be excited for what the future holds. Kids education would be our top priority as a country. It would be very important for our children to learn about this country’s history and have knowledge so they would be ready for the future. Also, all kids no matter what grade they are in would go to school later then get home earlier. This helps so that when kids went to school they would be excited to learn. Another thing in my perfect world would be us coming together and getting stronger as a country. We would have peace with the other countries in the world. Also, diversity wouldn’t be heard of because everyone would acknowledge the uniqueness of others not make fun of others because of their skin color, cultures, or human characteristics such as if they are disabled in some sort or if they are transgender and ect. The government would listen to the people. Also, their wouldn’t really be such thing as a “president” because everybody would have equal rights, and “ We the people” would be in charge of the government. Most importantly the “poor” wouldn’t really be poor because their would be no such thing as social classes. Also there would not be any violence in the world.

My perfect world would have many new aspects that our society doesn't have. First, in my perfect world there would be no war. If all the earth had peace with each other than we would be able to save a lot of money that we usually spend on battle equipment and gear, and we could also not have to worry so much about family members that are in the war. Also, my perfect world would contain of environmentally friendly societies. We would use natural resource, like the sun, for power and electricity. In our societies today we do that but I believe that we don't do it enough. Lastly in my perfect world we would rely on technology a little but it wouldn't be our only resource. In schools children would learn with technology and regular teaching, kind of like what we do at JDMS. The difference would be that each student would receive a laptop/tablet that belongs to the school. This would help because some students don't always have internet access at home so this way if a teacher wants to do online homework, each student has access to complete it. A negative aspect about this is that schools would need more money to pay for the technology but if we make the change then if would hopefully increase student skills by being able to learn in a different way. Learning how to use technology more would definitely be a good life skill to have going into the future sense technology is evolving. I believe that if our society does all these things then we would have a perfect world.

In my perfect world many things would be different. The biggest change would be the use of money. Money is, in my perspective, a big burden on this world because it causes many disputes. So in my world it would no longer be that burden. I also would want poverty to go away as well. Poverty to me is a very unfortunate problem that we face today and without money ruling over this world people wouldn't be out on the streets and have a lack of food. They, like us, could then live a life worth living. Also in my world people wouldn't be so cruel and dangerous. For example, there is always someone getting hurt or kidnapped. This wouldn't even be a concern in my world along with terrorist attacks like the shooting and the bombing in Paris would be non-existent. Another key change I would make would be religious acceptance because people today will mistreat people just because of their religion. This is very wrong and could also change major events in the past as well. The last key thing in my mind would be our government. Our government is very messed up and many people cause many bad things because of it. This past election no one liked either or side and had many terrible accusations, so in my world I would only permit fair and appropriate politicians and laws. In my eyes, if we made these changes we would be closer to my perfect world, where no one gets hurt and everyone has a fair chance to be happy and prosperous.

In my perfect world there would be a few changes I would make to our present day world. The first change I would make is I would get rid of the hate we have in our world. Everyone is equal, and should be treated kindly, and properly. The next change I would make would be to have to stress. Nobody would need to be stressed about money, which would eliminate stress for food, a home, and paying bills. Also, grades would be more based upon your effort. You would have one maybe two quizzes per semester, but participation would be the key. I think that if you try, you can do anything, it doesn’t matter how well your outcome is. If you tried you already succeeded. Also, our government would focus on each family’s progress, success and needs. Since there would be no hate, they wouldn’t need to worry about national security, and since there would be no money stress, they wouldn’t need to worry about economics. If hate stopped, wars wouldn't happen. Also, stress is something that nobody likes to experience, so if it ended, people would be much happier. Furthermore, some kids are born smarter than others, so effort and participation should be most of the grade. In conclusion, looking at your blog made me realize that my blog was missing some crucial parts to making the "perfect" world.

My perfect world would be a world where there is no war and everyone lives in peace. Poverty would be a thing of the past and jealousy would be dismissed. We would be using all renewable sources for energy and the education across the world would be top class. The natural disasters would be decreased. The diseases would be gone, but the way to accomplish this would be to keep people with the disease out of the civilization. This could negatively affect the society because it would be discrimination all over again, which would result in wars. If this world was possible it would be amazing, but humans have so many faults and the world would would never cooperate that it is sadly not possible.

Maddie, I love your perfect world. It sounds great! I haven't thought about natural disasters. I think it would be great if the natural disasters decreased. I loved when you said “poverty would be a thing of the past”. I was wondering what you would do about the laws, if you would change them or keep them the same? Also it wasn't clear what would happen to people with disease. I really enjoyed your perfect world and I would love to live there!

Your ideas are wonderful Catherine and I do wonder where we would get all the money for it. The idea to find everyone's purpose is really good. it kind of reminded me of a jigsaw puzzle where every piece have it's place. If we base our idea of a perfect world off of that I think we would make the world a little better.

In my perfect world things wouldn't be that different. I wouldn't change people because I believe it is important that we are all different and also if everyone is the same it would be boring. Im not sure if I would change the government because I don't know that much about it, but I would change the president. Also I wouldn't change many laws but if things change in society I might add some new laws to keep things in order. In my perfect world children would still go to school, but i would change the way schools worked. There would still be teachers(human) and classrooms with 15+ kids. But the i would change schools there would be an endless amount of grade levels. There wouldn't be kindergarten to 12th grade, the grade level would all contrast the level of intelligence the student has till he/she is ready to go to college. Also i would have homework given to each student so it could be officiant for the student. when the student is busy they will have less homework given but on the days where they are less busy they will have more or the given amount of work. Also in middle school foe 7th and 8th grade i would have the students choose some of their classes like high school. I think this could help students decide which career path they want to take.

In my perfect world there would be a lot of things like crime and poverty. Honestly my perfect world would be where everyone wouldnt be treated by their pigment of their skin but how they act and their personality. Unlike how black people are still treated unfairly today. Also teach everyone that their is only one race and that's the human race. Another thing that my perfect world would have is education would be different. You could choose weather you wanted to be home schooled. You could also choose what classes you wanted to take to get you ready for a better.

My perfect world would be to not have robots at all and people could live forever without aging. This would be a perfect world for me because robots I feel will turn on us and wipe out humanity and harm the world. This could have a positive act on humanity also by helping humans and help around the world and homes. A perfect world without people aging would be perfect because the people that we love won't die and me personally I'm afraid to die. This could have a negitive effect because if we don't die then it would kind of be boring to see the same people over and over again.

Ok, one question, why are you so against robots? we don't have any! i think... i love the part about no one dying because then the whole aspect of trying to spend as much time with some one before they die is gone and you get to truly enjoy them. a con would be crowd control because there would be to many people. good job:)

I agree with Renee because technology has taken us over and it's getting out of control. Someday in the future technology will be our teachers or store owners. Some people are on electronics all the time and are addicted to them. I would also love if no one ever aged and didn't get hurt.

The government in my perfect world would be Democratic so our government won’t make decisions based on one person. The citizens in my perfect world would be immigrants who have been in my country for 4 years. Education would be the same today, but we would have school later in the day, and not have Google Classroom. The Laws would be the same today like no stealing, but I would have stricter gun laws. My perfect world would be better than our society today because I would reduce the amount of people that are homeless and that are suffering from poverty.

I liked how you stated what should happen, but how you also stated the negative to that. I also like how the things that you listed are possible, just we need a way to change them. I also like how the things you said would benefit others and not just you. Also your ideas seem very affected if they were to change.

If I were able to change the world, to rid it of all flaws, I would first start by making sure that everyone made more money, no matter the job. Every single person would make more than their usual pay. This would greatly help the people of our country, especially those who are poorer, in paying bills, taxes, and even being able to purchase simple necessities. However, this could put the US into more debt, which may ultimately be unbeneficial for the country. Also, I would ensure that everyone has an equal education and fair opportunity to learn new ideas and do great things. I would make it possible for everyone to be able to afford and go to college, so they could have a good career. In a perfect world, everyone would get along peacefully together, although I know that I cannot change the way that people act. I would try to help people work together and unite, in spite of the differences between them.

My perfect world would be a world without any harmful substances like drugs, alcohol, tobacco, etc. Also, nobody will commit any violent acts, citizens and all people will be friendly with each other. People will not complain about anything, the government would be all about us and if there was a new law to be implemented, we would vote on the law. School and education would all be online and teamwork will be crucial. The positive aspects about this are that everything will be efficient and fast and will have a small chance for the government to be corrupt. A negative aspects about this is that it will be very hard to make everyone do this and there is ought to be some bad people that are going to do something unlawful.

I think your idea of a perfect world is great because there would be no crime. Crime is a huge problem in everyday life and if it were to be stopped then that would greatly effect the world. Though there are negative aspects of this perfect world, it would still probably decrease crime rate and positively effect education. This idea of a perfect world would definitely work.

My idea of a perfect world is only achievable in the world of dreams. In my perfect dream world college would be free for all. School should begin at a later time such 10:00 am and the school day would end at 4. This is due to studies showing that teenagers’ brains do not fully function until 10 o'clock am and plus, this provides an opportunity for more sleep. With more sleep, students can have a more functioning brain, giving them an opportunity for better grades. In these dreams, kids would also be able to drive. In my opinion, around the age of 12 or 13, students should take a test to see where their maturity level is. Students with higher levels should be able to drive and kids with lower levels should wait a few months to take the test again. This new and improved world would also not have homework for school. Some students are extremely busy with family, sports, musicals, plays, etc. Having homework is another pain the students’ shoulders. If a student is struggling, they would take their notes home any study. Children are already practicing enough in school, I don’t see why it is necessary to have students over practice the skills they are learning. Sometimes teachers don’t realize that students have about 6 or 7 subjects of homework every night. The teacher only grades 100 of the same papers on one subject. As you can see my dream world has many differences than the world we live in now.

In my perfect world I would change the government so that only armed forces such as the army are allowed to use guns. This way no will get shot, but we still will have our protection. Although nobody will have good protection against thieves, the robbers also don’t have a good way to get into your house. The people, and even the countries, will work together to solve our problems. We can share our ideas to help stop world hunger and every other important issue. With us working together, this will create less to no war and peace all over.

Brooke you bring up a good point on gun control. I definitely agree with you that U.S. Military should be armed. The problem is no matter how strict the law about gon control was that you will always have people who will possess illegal guns. They are invented and people/terrorists will end up having guns really no matter what. Again I also heavily agree with people getting along and solving world hunger there will always be someone who disagrees. Then by the time you have everyone on the same side it wouldn't have been peaceful because you cannot have everyone in the world agree without persuasion or violence. And that was the point to have peace and no violence. Overall I agree with most of your reasons and you have a great “perfect” world.

Your view of a perfect seems a bit 'flawed'. Sure, students would be less stressed out about school about everything, but for the other aspects, if the laws were more strict, wouldn't people be a bit more stressed about the laws? Also, how would you achieve this goal of people not being able to kill anyone? Would you have to kill the criminals? That does seem a bit hypocritical. In the end, I agree that I can live with this world today.

My perfect world would have many changes from the one I live in now. First off there would be no wars or battles and everyone would treat each other equally. Everyone would have money if they were once poor and could by themselves food and shelter. Every kid would have an education all the way through college so they would be fine on their own making a living. All these changes could have a negative impact on society though, because having peace on earth would have to be made through violence. The government would also lose a lot of money paying for kids college funds and peoples homes and food. There is no perfect way to make a perfect society.

My perfect world would be much much different than the world right now. I would make more, different laws such as, no guns unless you are in the army, or to just completely ban smoking and cigarettes. I would put more money into cancer research, or any type of medical research. School would start later (about 10:00 am) and at the age of 12 (or 7th grade) students should be able to choose their own classes to help with their major (if they know yet). College should be free but anything like medical school and things like that would cost some money. I don't think much bad could come from that although the economy may change a bit with no cost for college, and more money into medical research. But overall I think my perfect world is pretty great.

My “perfect world” would be a world of kindness. The government would be a Democracy, where the people elect the president. The citizen’s would have their own choices and decisions. They would also, be able to own their own house, car, and would be able to have as big of a family that they want to. My education system would be where everyone learns the same things, in classes. School hours would only be 5 hours long and kids would only have to go to 10th grade. My laws would be the same as we have today, like speeding. One law I would change is that no one would have the right to bare arms. I would have specific communities, that specialized in different things. For example, one community would be the Athletic and another one would be called Brains. Even though some people would be different they would be treated the same, and it wouldn’t be weird to be friends with another community.

Cures to cancer and sickness would be in my perfect world. Each student could choose their classes and have a personal laptop. No wars and terrorism would be in my perfect society. I strongly believe that peace among others would make a huge difference. And for all people of different beliefs and genders to be treated equally. And for the people to have a say no matter what. My perfect world would be a place in which differences are celebrated, and the color of your skin doesn’t define you. Where you can speak your mind and not be judged. There would be no need for law enforcement and guns because people are beyond crime. Education would be seen again as a privilege and less of a chore. Where people help people, and there’s no war. Where poverty and hunger are only a thing in textbooks and the gap between the rich and poor closes. Where no one has too much power and there’s no racism and sexism. Where women woman are looked to as equals and the pay gap is closed. Where sickness is eliminated and no one gets hurt. Where there are no natural disasters and everyday is like that one really nice day. Where people have found a way to live amongst animals and let them too have land. Where we don’t need to eat helpless animals for food. But you see this will always just be a dream because there is no utopia and there never will be.

My “perfect” world would not have that much projects, tests, quizzes, and homeworks. The positive side of this is that the students would be happy and there won’t be that much things to do inside and outside of class. The negative side is that the students would probably not learn very much things. Another thing my world would have is that there wouldn’t be any extreme sports because the people could get injured, the negative side is that people wouldn’t have much choices of what to play anymore. The last thing would be that I would lessen the laws so that the people would remember them faster. The negative to that is that there would probably be more chaos.

If I had to change things about the world I would change… No common core and no homework because we already do enough work in school. Next the government should be changed by letting Obama run again for president because he was a good president and had good rules and laws. Then the world should come to peace because the world wars and many other wars killed so many people. The people should be peaceful Finally college should be free because not alot of people have that much money, If they have good grades then they can get into collages. That is my perfect world.

If I got to make the world a better place I would give more money to the families that are having a hard time in their life, and I would create a better and cleaner environment to places filled with trash and waste. I would try to help the people who have a really sick disease and to the people who really need medical finances. To make the world a better better place, I would also give more to the children in education who have been struggling and for the teens to the adult-teens for having a great reputation and to always take care of his or her family. We (including adults) should care about one another's future and a how it affects us in certain moments.
