If you haven't guessed it from the picture on the blog post, I'm reading a dystopian science fiction novel called Allegiant by Veronica Roth. This book is the third in the trilogy, which begins with Divergent. I downloaded the book on my Kindle the night it came out and I've been slowly reading it between grading memoirs and POV essays. It's about the two main characters from the previous books, Tris and Four, and how they are fighting the person in power in their community. Much like The Hunger Games, this book has a lot of action, violence, romance, and allusion to political corruption in a future society. Tris is just as tough as ever in this book so far and I can't wait to see how her relationship with Four survives the new challenges that they're faced with. I've already gotten to a part in the book that made Tris question everything that she has once believed in. I've only been reading the book for a week now and I'm about halfway through it. It's hard to put down at night and I'm sure that the second half of the book will be just as suspenseful as the first half!

I am just finishing my book True Legend by Mike lupica. It was a really good book. If you like Mike Lupica you will love this book. It will keep you wondering what will happen next, you will not want to put it down. The book is about a very good high school basketball star named Drew Robinson. Drew is starting to even think of himself as the best, which is a very bad thing for a popular athelete to do, which was proven by an old basketball star named Urban Sellers. When Urban was reaching his high point he even thought of himself as the very best, so he skipped practice and went to a party, at the party he fell down a flight of stairs and hurt his knee, his once promisig career was over, will Drew end up like Urban or turn his attitude around?

I've been reading the book Found by Margaret Peterson Haddix for about two weeks and it is terrific! At the end of every chapter it leaves you wanting to read more. The genre is a Science Fiction. The two main characters are Jonah and Chip. Jonah is adopted and Chip finds out early in the book that he is adopted too. They both get mysterious letters in the mail saying "You are one of the missing!" and another saying "Beware they are coming back to get you!" Chip and Jonah begin trying to figure out what all of this means and where they came from. Do you think Jonah and Chip can figure out the mystery before whoever is coming gets to them? Read the book to find out!!

Dear Mrs.Stillitano I am currently reading Divergent by Veronica Roth. It is a realistic fiction novel about a girl named Beatrice who gets factioned into one of the 5 factions: Amity, Dauntless, Abnegation, Erudite,or Candor, she goes through many troubles with the people in her faction and also makes some friends there.she realizes that the faction thatshe chose to be in is not all fun and games, it requires much strength, ability, and most of all bravery. If you don pass the first test or the initiation, you remain factionless forever. Will Beatrice/Tris ever survive? I swear this book series is sooooo ooooooooooooooooo amazing so far. I can't put it down because theres a cliff-hanger at the end of each chapter, everytime i try to set it down its just like nooooo Aniya don't leave me, just one more chapter. Helpppp! IM ADDICTED! I look forward to reading the whole series and I don't know why im so slow because I know everyone is reading these books so i will make sure to catch up! I could literally talk about this book for hours and explain how much i love it and I'm only on chapter 14. This book is especially good if youre like me and you don't read much but when you get a book you really love, you can't stop reading it. Okay im done now, back to reading!

I am reading Harry Potter and the Order of the Phoenix by J.K. Rowling. The genre of the book is fantasy. Harry Potter is a wizard that survived Voldermort's wrath. The part of the book that I am at now is where Harry and Dudley are walking home and the street lights go out. Harry is trying to stay calm, and Dudley is panicking. Dudley starts running to a strange light and Harry is trying to stop him. I predict that Dudley is running toward Voldermort or one of his minions. I think Voldermort or his minion are going to hurt Dudley. This a good series to read if you enjoy magic and fantasy.

The book I have been reading is The Lightning Thief by Rick Riordan. This book is about a troubled boy, Percy Jackson, who goes to school at Yancy Academy. The weather starts to get weird and so do the teachers around him too. Then one day on a field trip something very strange happens with him and his math teacher and Percy does not know what it is. He hears his best friend and favorite teacher talking about him and the incident on the field trip behind his back . When he goes to a camp house with his mom, he is expecting a nice trip away from his step-father and all the weird things that have been happening lately. But on this trip things get much much worse. His nightmares get scarier and a terrible car wreck leads him facing a terrible monster. This leads him to a place called Camp Half-Blood where he feels left out and confused. This is an excellent book that I have just started (that's why I summarized the beginning) and it really relates to the Greek mythology unit that we are doing in ELA. Read this book to learn more about gods/goddesses!!

The house Of Hades is written by Rick Riordon. this book is about a group of demigods who are trying to stop Geau from tacking over the world with here giants. it contains many characters witch each have there own back story. you can really get to know each one of them and there motives. This book also has a lot of action. this book is oriented off Greek mythology. I started this book 3 days ago its is really a page turner and is probably one of my favorite books. I am reading a realistic fiction novel called The Giver by Lois Lowry. I started this book about a week ago and am about half way through it and I love it. It is about a boy named Jonas who lives in a future world that I would not want to live in! In this world, everything is the same! There are no colors, no sunlight, no free reading books, you cant pick your own job, wife, and you cant have your own kids! You receive your job at twelve and work in that field until you are old enough to move into he house of the old. Jonas is chosen to work a very special job with great honor that only one person can do. And lucky him, he is that one person.

He is very famous for being the first safety patrolman to be kicked out of a school. I have just finished reading The Captain a biography on Derek Jeter. This book is written by Ian O'Coonor. This book takes place half in Michigan and half of it in the Bronx. Derek was born in Michigan and went to Kalamazoo high school. He was ranked number one in the state. So the Yankees saw him and started to scout his ability to play the sport. The Yankees had a first round pick that year. They picked Jeter and signed him to a 800,000 multi year contract. This was the start of Jeter's career. If you want to find out more you have to read the book. It took me a week and a half.

Hey guys! I'm reading the book How to Train your Dragon. The movie "How to Train your Dragon" was based of this book. I'ts nothing like the movie though. I'ts about a kid named Hiccup and his friend Fishlegs. Every viking of the Hooligan Tribe has to go through "initiation". You have to go into a cave full of tiny dragons, and pick one out. You put it in your basket and crawl out of the cave. Then in 3-4 weeks, the dragon will wake up and you'll have to train it. Then it will hunt for you. That's what my book is about so far!

The book I am reading is The Hunger Games by Suzanne Collins. This book is fiction. This book is a good book to read if you like futuristic fiction books. Katniss Everdeen is the main character who takes part in a fight to the death "game". She wins the Hunger Games. When the Hunger Games ends there is a tour of all of the districts. In one of the districts an old man is shot because President Snow is trying to make everyone hate Katniss. The old man was showing a sign in support of katniss. This was a great part of the story but my favorite part was when Katniss finds out that district 13 is still alive. They were supposed to be all killed because they were trying to start a rebellion against the capitol. There is plenty of action and suspense in this book and when you get to the end of it you can't wait to start the next book.
