You've spent the last two weeks researching an artist for ELA class. In this week's blog post, choose one of your artist's poems/songs that you feel is his/her most influential work. Be sure to include the title and lyrics/poem within your post along with an explanation of why you chose this piece. How is it influential? Who has its words impacted and in what ways?

For the past few weeks I have been researching Lady Gaga. She n really is a true inspiration to children and teens popculture. My favorite song by her is "Applause" because it has a really good beat and I would never thought about writing a song about applause. I will say it is a very happy moment when your clapping your hands.

The poet I am researching is Freddie Mercury. I think "Bohemian Rhapsody" was the most influential work he made . It shows the life of a boy who really doesn't care about anything. His mother is a psychopath who kills a person and he wishes for freedom. Here's a part that really tells the story:

The artist I have been researching for the past few weeks is Lady Gaga. Her most influential song is “Born This Way.” This is because she says that if you are bullied or different in anyway, you were born that way. This song also teaches that even if you are bullied, just love yourself. I think this song is so important because Lady Gaga is against bullying, and supports LGBT rights. In addition, if people hear that someone as important as Lady Gaga is against bullying, maybe they will listen.

One of the most influential songs by Queen Latifah is one of her hits "Ladies First". This hit is about women's contributions to civil liberties around the world and is one of the 500 most influential songs of rock and roll. I choose this song because the words are the most inspirational out of all of her songs. Especially when it says "Who said the ladies couldn't make it, you must be blind

I have been researching Elton John for the past few weeks. His most influential song does not really have to do with lyrics. This song is called "Yellow Brick Road." The reason that this is Elton John's most influential song is because it has remained a classic for 40 years and has been a muse for many other famous artists.
