The Tale of Despereaux is a fiction novel by Kate DiCamillo. The word that I found was comeuppance. It was on page 185. "Exactly," said Roscuro. "That would be her divine comeuppance.

Mexican authorities: 'El Chapo' injured in capture attempt, continues to elude police. That was the article I read. It had our vocabulary word elude. I got it from http://www.upi.com/ and it was by Amy R. Connolly. The genre is news journalism. The title had the vocabulary word in it. Another one was on Malevolent Phantoms, Corpse Brides, and Ancestor Spirits: The Ancient Belief in Ghosts – PART II. It was by Liz Leafloor. The genre was again news journalism. The place the vocab word was in the title and in the first sentence, which says "The many ancient civilizations had beliefs surrounding the hauntings of ghosts and malevolent spirits, and so they relied on careful rituals and exorcisms to keep the supernatural at bay." Those are the two vocab words I saw.

This morning I was watching a comedy show called Seinfeld at a hotel in NYC, and Kramer(Cosmo Kramer) said the word "arbitrary" which is one of our vocab words this year. I don't know the author of the show or the sentence it was used in, but I thought it was super cool that they used our vocab word.

I decided to read "Compound" by S.A Doden. The genre is dystopian. The word I found is related to incessant. The context is "Exceptfor her left thumbnail which she chewed incessantly" on page33

I forgot which newspaper it was, but I saw a comic in a newspaper that used the word irony. It was a picture of a man with a pickup truck that read, "Tom's Tire Delivery," and the trunk was full of tires. However, the truck had a flat tire. The caption for the picture was, "The definition of irony." I thought it was a very funny comic, and it was cool that it used one of this week's vocab words.

I found the word latter on page 190 in the book Matched by Ally Condie. "So far he's doing the latter"

I found the word succinct in Dark Waters, camaraderie in A Snicker of Magic, and premonition and latter in Secret Letters. I also found desolate, peril, and notorious in Enrique's Journey.

"Pope, thirteen at the time, was indignant that her brother should think any less of himself as a boy who liked to cook." That was what it said in McKenna Pope's TED write up. They used the word indignant. McKenna Pope is an activist for gender neutral toys.

"These 85 letters, written under the pseudonym, 'Publius', were published in newspapers and eventually collected in one volume known as the Federalist Papers." This was on the website www.study.com. They used pseudonym.
