One of the most popular types of science fiction novels is dystopian literature. These books are set in the future in a society that is supposed to be more "perfect" than our world today, but ultimately has flaws.

My "perfect world" is a world not far from our own today. In my "perfect world", many new laws would be passed. For example, every citizen would be educated in reading, writing, and mathematics. Also, every person would have the same opportunities, no matter their social class, or wealth. My "Perfect World" would also be focused on military strength and agility. The government would have multiple figures in charge, and would go to the ends of the earth to protect their people. Different communities would have a representative that would attend all government meetings. This is my perfect world, and although it may have some negative impacts on the world, I think that it would help to make the world function better.

A perfect world. It’s impossible but authors like Suzanne Collins,James Dashner and Veronica Ross manage to do it as they write books like hunger games, maze runner, and divergent. But there is only one problem, there is always a negative impact. If I were to write a sci-fi novel,I would have a perfect world where everyone has equal rights,no racism,no hate,no violence and no poverty.Everyone over the age of 18 has a job.A negative effect could be that there is not enough room at workplaces for everyone to have a job. There is really no negative effect on no racism that I see.No hate could be considered no bullying and goes with no racism. No violence could mean a lot of things. For example there is no gun violence,no domestic violence,no fighting and no police brutality.Everyone is treated the same.It doesn't matter if you're black, white or even blue everyone is treated the same. This is my perfect world.

This blog post is my favorite so far. It was so fun to think about what life would be like in my perfect world. In my perfect world, laws and government would be based off the Democratic- Republic we have today. Everyone would get the chance to vote, and nobody would be denied the right to vote. People could live any lifestyle they wanted, as long as that didn’t include harming yourself, another person, or an item.

Mikey, I enjoyed reading your blog post, and I have some questions that I would like to ask farther about. Aren't most of the laws that you want to enforce already laws today? For example, when you mentioned how you would like to enforce respect into our world. I enjoyed your twisted ending to this post, and I will further think on what you have said.

Meghan, I like your ideas for a "Perfect world." The one that intrigued me most was that you would have Pinterest and Video Star as mandatory apps on any phone. As a person who uses neither of them, I'm curious as to why those apps? I also have questions as to why would you encourage your citizens to eat as much sugar as they want? Overall, I enjoy your style of writing, and how open minded you are to this assignment.

I love that art would become a core subject, but what about the other things like technology and music? Would those just stay the same like they are today? I also like that you gave everybody the right to vote and kept our government the same as it is today. Some of your ideas are very creative and should definitely be in our real world like dessert as a major food group.

For me, my perfect world would be a place where everyone is given fair treatment and have equal opportunity. Where the white house is a lot more diverse and all races and religion are welcomed with open arms. The education system would be more carefully monitored and kids wouldn’t just go to school to learn how to pass a test. They would go to school to learn how to think so they may make decisions they are proud of in the future. The government would tax people less and would tell us most of the stuff that our money (or parents money) is going to. By doing these simple things I believe there would be less rebellion and protest. The only flaw to my perfect world is that I doubt humanity could ever get to that. People can already be very cruel to one another and it’s probably just going to get worst. But, there are also good people in the world and even though some of them may not have a voice now, hopefully in the future our society will give them a turn to speak up.

My “perfect” world would be an eye for an eye government. If someone was to break a law they will have a punishment that is equal to the crime. All citizens will have to pay equal taxes if they own a house. Any homeless citizens could temporarily live in small apartment like buildings until they can fend for themselves. Education will continue as how it is today. One main law in my “perfect” world would be that everyone is treated equally no matter what. As for the communities such as neighborhoods, they will have a front gate entrance into the neighborhood to prevent vandalism and other actions.

My perfect world is a world where everything is fair. I want to have more religious freedom all around the world. I would make it so everyone got a full education. I would make sure no one would be starving and there were no diseases. There would be peace around the world and no war, attacks, or even small things like bullying. Some of these idea are good ideas but have some flaws. For example, the culture around the world is so different that it might be hard for everyone to accept another person's culture. Having no diseases might be hard because there are germs everywhere. When we get sick, we normally get it from a sickness going around or it might be natural but know matter what it will be very hard to keep everything clean so you will not get sick.

If I could make a dystopian world, everyone would have freedoms, rights, and also I would try not to start any war. In my dystopian world, everyone will have freedoms because, in many places around the world people (especially women) can’t go any where without having a person (in this case a male) with them. In my world Women and Men will be able to walk freely whenever and wherever. Many people from from other countries will not be happy with this rule, because there culture doesn’t follow that rule. I would also like my world to have the same government as America, but with more people involved. For example, I would make everyone vote because I would want their say in the election. Finally, I would like there to be a way for no one to be in the poverty level. If the people in poverty level need/want help the government will give it to them, but if they don’t want help, then we can’t force them to come with us. If I could have a dystopian world, this is what it would be like

I just have two questions about your perfect world: When you say everyone could vote does that mean really young kids too or just people over a certain age? Also, would you change how people vote? Would it be online or something else so that it would be easier to get all people to vote? Overall, if your perfect world existed I would be very happy!

In my perfect world there would be no taxes, people would have to drive electric cars and school hours would start at different times. If there were no taxes then people wouldn’t have to pay as much and people would be richer. The downside to this is we wouldn’t be able to support the local communities with as much money for them to do things like snowplow or pickup the garbage. In my perfect world we would also have electric cars which are better for the environment. The negative thing about this is that electric cars cost a lot and people may not be able to afford them. People would have to ride busses instead. The last thing about my perfect world is school hours would start at different times because the kids do not get enough sleep and cannot focus in class. The teachers also don’t get as much sleep which could make them cranky. This world would be perfect for the schools, for the environment, and make us a little richer.

I would not change the government because I think it is fine and fair how it is now. I would change the citizens because Trump is planning on making a wall separating Mexico and us so I would want to change the inequality between mexicans and us. I would not change the education because it is perfectly fine how it is now. The laws are also perfectly fine. But I would change the community because some of the really good communities have went out of business and closed down. I loved some of the communities so I would change the community by having them go back into business so I can go back to some of them.

In my "Perfect World" (Utopia), many things would be different. There would be no crime of any sort, drugs, cigarets, and other bad items would have never existed. Tech will still exist, but it wouldn't be addicting. Weapons would not exist because it would hurt people. The world would not be separated like it is now, but the world would be Pangaea, ( we are discussing this in science, Pangea is all of the continents combined as one super continent). Due to the connection, there will be high-speed magnetic trains ( I heard they are used in Japan) so traveling would be easy. School is good how it is now, it wouldn't have to be changed. The government would be an even more democratic democracy. There would be no president, or Congress, etc. 100% controlled by people, ideas from people would be represented at special presentations, and there would be a vote. There would be no pollution and animals would get 1/2 or less of the world to have for themselves. I could go on forever, but I will stop here. That is a small preview of my utopia!

i would have my goverment focus on helping the poor. the countries would all agree to not wage war on one another. we would try to grow and trade for an abundance of food to help all of the people who don't know where their next meal will come from. the education system would be tailored to a scale of intellegence, the smarter you are, the higher in the scale you are ranked. The world would have several defense mechanisims to defend if any country wanted to make the decision to go rouge. The flaws would be that if half of the country decided to go rouge, than both parts would be atacked.

You bring up problems that no one is willing to fix, education. In today’s world many people don’t have the same skills as everyone else, and therefore fall behind in education. If I were to change your world even the smallest bit, it would be about education. I would make the education system accustomed to each student’s learning methods. If we wanted more students to be successful in the future, we would help them learn, and not force tons of workloads onto the students.

My perfect world would be a world with equal rights and world peace. I currently think our laws are great for our society so I would keep them because they keep this world organized. My world would have prefect communities because I think it is important to have a good place to grow up and raise a family. I think having different cultures in one world is amazing so I would keep all citizens as long as they follow the laws. I think all of these changes in the world would make up the perfect society for all people to live in. Of course I like what we have now but change is good, for everyone.

my perfect world would be free college education, no bare arms allowed, and treat everyone equally or there will be consequences. I would make bullying illegal. One negative effect of making bullying illegal and no bare arms allowed is this law is not going to stop everyone from bullying or smuggling guns. No matter if you make it a law why would everyone start following the laws now. On the other hand it may cut the chances of bullying down by a lot. Another thing I would change is racial profiling. to I believe that everyone should be treated equally even if the are a different race or color. In the world that we live in people are racially profiled every day and I don’t think that one law will solve all of the racial profiling racial discrimination.

My perfect world would be way different then mine today. I would have every person give a note to someone, anyone, and make a note saying things like, you are very sweet or something that would just make someone’s day. The government would have to listen to what the people had to say and then they would have to respond back why or why not they like that solution or something they want to change. All kids will have a beautiful education. They will learn more English because I believe English is the most important subject to take on in your life. My world would consist of happiness and joy. I don’t want anyone to have a gloomy day. They have to be joyful. Though perfect worlds don't exist, I will be portraying an image of what my “perfect world” would consist of. First off, both men and women would be treated with equality. A study that was recently done proved that while men believe in themselves and most often overestimate what they are able to achieve, women tend to underestimate themselves. I would not only want for both genders to be treated with equality, but believe in themselves. Secondly, since our country has committed to freedom and equality, therefor I think it's best not to ban anyone from entering the states unless we know for a fact they are dangerous. (This next requirement might provoke different feelings.) Lastly, I would like to keep our form of government, but (specific) select a different president. Forming this paragraph was specifically challenging because it required a lot of thought. There might be a negative effect when it comes to letting anyone come to the U.S. I would be hopeful (hoping) that people will, excluding their differences, give others a chance.

My perfect world would have no violence, no weapons and no boring things. I would like to add a law that bans guns, bombs of any kind, missiles, tanks, and any other thing that could harm anyone. So, then people might think what if there is a conflict between countries that needs weapons. My way has no conflicts because the UN members will be trusted for settling disagreements and trade issues. Those UN members were carefully selected by their own countries. The ways of violence won’t be an issue because no one will have been exposed to things like corruption or wanting to harm other people. The people won’t know about those things because those records would be destroyed. Also, boring thing will be banned. I know people will have different opinions, but the items I would ban are thing without color or meaning.

In my perfect world I would definitely have a democracy in which the people have a say in the government. I will alow electronics but they must be examined by the government once a month, to prevent the government or any other important facilities for being hacked(a lot like car inspections) . Just like the US today, people of all ethnicities and cultures will be welcome and treated equally and fairly. The schooling system will be very similar to how it is today. Threats from other places will be carefully examined before any attacks are made. No people will be directly involved in any Wars, instead all attacks and defenses will be performed by state of the art robots, controlled by trained professional people. This will help prevent less deaths due to fighting and Wars.

Everyone will go to school no matter their money conditions. Every single person on the planet deserves an education. School supplies will be provided to kids that have less money. My perfect world will have no sexism or racism of any sort!!! You are not allowed to get drugs unless you have a valid prescription. All drugs will be kept behind the desk for only employees to access. Last, all things that pollute now will be converted into a system that turns all the smoke into water vapor or just air. If I could change the world to be perfect in any way possible. I would first change the gun law people have to own their own ,because too many people have died of the cost for know reason. For example the shooting that happened in Las Vegas that people died from for no reason what’s so ever. He had know right at all to own all the guns illegally and to shoot people enjoying a concert and themselves. Another thing I would change in the world is the way citizens are being treated and educated equally. In some country people have different efficiency like woman still don’t have to drive cars and do thing equally as men. Also in some people in other countries are not getting well educated as we do in america only somethings. But everything they need to know to come to america. My last thing would want to mention is police's right to handle their guns on people when they do wrong. They shouldn't need a gun to arrest someone they should be able to do this in a civilized way without guns.

My perfect world is a world with a stable government. Also it has genetically engineered people. They would live in cities all with the same grid pattern. The people/children would all have specialized learning programs fitted to them. Some laws would be; you kill some one you get killed very painfully, If you hit someone you spend 2 months in prison. The communities are full of smart and athletic people. The military would be unstoppable and supper advanced. No one could even try to rebel and if they did they and there family's would be killed. This is my Perfect world

In my perfect world, I would eliminate gun violence and have overall world peace. Violence is no way to solve personal or political problems. I would entirely eliminate guns if it were my choice, but of course if people actually tried to do that, many gun owners would be indignant and cause more violence or trouble. There are certain political things that I would change as well, but I will not go into that. I would also make everyone have a good education and equal opportunity to participate in extracurricular activities such as music and art. In addition, everyone should have a relatively equal financial status. This would of course be extremely difficult if not impossible to achieve, let alone sustain, although it would be ideal. Lastly, I would have more time. Whether it be four school days and three weekend days, just an extra day in the week, or longer days, I wish there could be more time to get done what needs to be done, and just relax. I often find myself running out of time to complete an assignment or task and feeling stressed, or being able to complete it but having no extra time to just do something I love like play music, write, or play a game. In my perfect world, there would be enough time to do these things without feeling so pressured for time, but there wouldn’t be so much time that I or others would become lazy or unproductive. This world would be near to impossible to achieve, but it would be perfect to me if it were real.

I agree with all of your thoughts for your perfect world. I especially liked how you said that you wanted more time to do more of the things you wanted and needed to do. I completely agree. When I did mine I mostly thought about what laws I wanted to change and how I wanted the people to change. I overlooked a topic like time. Overall, your perfect world would be ideal for me and I wish the world was actually like you said.

My perfect world would be a world where everyone gets along. This of course could never happen because people always see things differently and some people, try as they might, never will get along. Also, I would want no wars whatsoever. If there was an argument between two countries (or more) then they would talk about it and compromise, not kill innocent people because they want to have all the oil or something like that. This too would not be possible because there will always be someone in charge of a country who does not know how to compromise and will begin a war without the other country even agreeing to it (like bombing them). In my perfect world, there would also be no guns so people couldn’t go killing each other for no reason. This wouldn’t be possible either because if I were to try and take the guns away from the people with guns they would probably use their guns to kill more people because of the law than they would if there hadn’t been the law. In my perfect world, everyone would be equal. It wouldn’t matter what race, gender, religion, etc. you are. This wouldn’t be able to happen either because people would still manage to keep the unrest between groups. I would also have a government where everyone over the age of 15 could vote. All that would matter would be the people’s votes not the electoral college. I don’t know how this would work out because, as far as I know, nobody has tried it yet. In my perfect world, there would be no poverty because everyone would get enough money from the government to be able to afford enough for a house, food, etc. This probably wouldn’t work either because the government might not have enough money and people would probably not use the money correctly and therefore would become homeless or poor. Also, in my perfect world everyone would have education around the world. Also, everyone would have clean water. These would be hard to make happen because people live everywhere and it would be hard to make sure people in places far from larger civilizations could get education and clean water. Finally, in my perfect world, there would be no poaching or animal abuse. This, of course, couldn’t happen either because people will still do things illegally no matter how bad the punishment is. In conclusion, it’s hard to have a perfect world because people will always find a way to make it imperfect again.

I agree with many of your ideas, including the restraint on gun use, world peace, no more poverty, and education and equality for everyone. I also think not having the electoral college is an excellent idea, because then everyone's vote counts more, and the results of the elections would more accurately represent the majority of people's viewpoints. However, I think allowing people to vote when they are fifteen would be a mistake. People at the age of fifteen are still learning. Some may be mature and stick with their opinions through adulthood, but most will grow and gain a deeper understanding of important topics like politics. Many fifteen-year-olds may abuse a voting privilege, or simply not have a very mature viewpoint. I agree that it would be hard to have a perfect world, but your vision seems pretty close to perfect if it were ever made possible.

A perfect world would be full of all different people and governments and opinions. There are many aspects to a perfect world and one's world peace. World peace is a positive and negative scene. Yes, everyone would get along and there would be no more fighting between countries any more. But, if everyone got along and nothing was going on what would there be to learn, people would lose their jobs and teachers would not be able to relate to the real world. We are so used to everyone fighting we can only imagine world peace. Another aspect that I would change is no one would have to worry about what race they are or their religion. No one would tell them what’s right from wrong. Everyone would have it fair and feel like they are something rather than nothing.

My perfect world would start with a diverse society. Everyone can be who they truly want to be and they won’t get judged. People will appreciate each other not only adults but also children. My perfect world would also have less reliance on technology. Kids would communicate in person not over text. I personally loved when I was younger and I barely used technology. I hope all kids could get a taste of no technology. My perfect world would also consist of less focus on outer beauty and would focus more on inner beauty and the good qualities of people. Today there are so many people discriminating girls, young woman and women on there body and their faces. Also there would be no political parties or animal cruelty because they cause you to tear someone apart because of what they think is right. Animal cruelty is sickening because animals are the most innocent living creatures. Last but definitely not least, in my perfect world no kid would ever sit alone at the lunch table.

I personally think this is very accurate in the sense of a perfect world. I agree with the technology part of it because I also miss not having so much technology. I think people focus on the outer layer of you and not the inner so I think that is a great point to bring up. Lastly, I think the last statement is the best because this is a problem and it is very upsetting when someone sees someone sitting alone.

I agree with the not focusing on how you look because I agree that what's on the inside really matters. This “perfect” world would have fair payment and encourage success and hard work, such as college tuition. You would still have to pay, but the better you are doing, the less you have to pay. When you do more work than needed to at work, you will get paid more. Volunteering for community service would make job resumes be considered more. The overall cost of general living would decrease. College degrees could get you farther in life, but they are not required. Downsides are few, but they are great, as everyone has a chance to be better, people who start out life “badly”, will be left in the dust, so far behind everyone else there isn’t even a point in trying. This “perfect” world would take place in the future, with greater technology, almost utopia-like cities, but with so much being mass produced, natural and manmade resources are dwindling, becoming scarce. The prices will start low, but as things become more and more rare, the prices will gradually rise and fall, only to rise again.

In my perfect world, school would start later. It would start at nine o’clock a.m. and it would end around two. Each period would be half an hour and there would be eight periods with five minutes in between. The problem with this is that learning wouldn’t be as fast, but it may be more effective because students wouldn’t dread it as much if it were lighter and more relaxed. Also, people wouldn’t judge other people based on appearance because you never know someone's personality until you get to know them. The problem with this is that someone could be a very bad person and you don’t know and you may get yourself involved with them and soon realize they’re bad, but that can already happen as it is now. Also, it wouldn’t matter what you were good at to be appreciated. Some people are really athletic and some aren’t. Some people are really good at math and some aren’t. Some people are really into music and some aren’t. It doesn’t matter what you're good at or what you love, you can still be appreciated for being a great person. I honestly don’t know anything about politics or the government so I can’t say there’s anything specific I’d like to change about it, but I’m sure there’s many things wrong with it.

In my image, a perfect world would be a world where no one judges, no one would judge you or your choices at all, not including crimes. Where there would be inequality of gender, race, religion, and beliefs. Just like in America’s we would be a democracy. Education would be for all and at no cost. Laws would be the same with a few additional ones, such as no drugs unless prescribed, no alcohol, no smoking. Medical treatment would be free because those who can not afford still need it. Many shelters would be provided for the homeless and all no animals would be left uncared for when in need. Overall my society ideals would have a positive impact.

In my perfect world, 80% of the population would be controlled by a computer chip that would be interface with people's brains to control them. The remaining 19% would control the population through a extremely powerful computer system that would have the ability to eliminate any implanted people if they contracted any life threatening disease, deviated from their programmed purpose, or if they started to develop their own consciousness. The 1% that is left would be the true leaders of society. They would control the 19% through a private army that consists of a private regiment of the 80% that is only controlled by the 1%. Over time, a select number of the 80% would move into the 19%, and members of the 19% would move into the 1%. The remaining people who would not be moved up through society would fulfil army, farming and medicinal purposes. Any people who would not be moved up through society would be implanted if necessary. Education would only be required for the 19% because they would need to know how to operate computer systems. For the 80%, their necessary education would only be tailored to their work details. The 1% would receive an extensive education from age 4-21. The housing arrangements would be circular, with the 80% in the middle, the 19%percent surrounding them and the 1% grouped into 3 districts.Even though these decisions may spark controversy throughout the rest of the world, our society would be very efficient, but fragile. A small rebellion in the 19% could be catastrophic. A negative effect of these decisions would be that innovation would almost come to a standstill, which would lead society to rely on the same technology until it fails. Another negative effect would be that one strike to our computer systems would wipe out most of the population,

To address your points Cade, I see your point about the computer chip system. Being a twelve year old, I would not have the expertise to create and troubleshoot the chips. Good point. As for the chaos of the world dilemma, our army would be large enough to be a force of change in the world, any variable is our conquest would be eliminated. As I mentioned in my post, any humans in the 80% who developed a sense of consciousness would be eliminated in a humane fashion. Apologies for any errors, I am writing this late at night. Thanks for the response.

This doesn't really sound like a utopia. 80% of the earths population controlled by a computer? What if the controllers are bad and make people kill themselves for amusement? If the people start thinking for themselves you said the computer would terminate them. If you were part of the 80% would you be happy? This sounds like a dystopia.

My idea of a “perfect” world would be very unique from our current world. For starters, I would limit the use of Social Media. I wouldn’t restrict the use of Social Media entirely, but I would limit it. My main reason for limiting Social Media is because nowadays, it consumes our entire lives, and is the reason for many of our problems right now. For example, because of misinterpreted tweets from our president, we’re on the brink of World War Three. Also, because of Social Media a lot of “news”, and rumors are spread throughout our world. These rumors really do impact our daily life decisions. Even down to the food we eat. Also a lot of people are stressed out because of Social Media. Whether it be fans that these people have to please, or dealing with people who dislike them, Social Media definitely can be a stressful place. Social Media isn’t all bad tho, and that’s why I’m not restricting the use of it entirely. Social Media is a lot of people’s main jobs, and taking that away could put our world in a very bad spot. Social Media is also a place where people are able to bond with other people online, and is also some people’s way of escaping the real world.

In my perfect world everyone would be nice to each other and all of the kids will have plenty of friends. The school days will also be shortened to 4 and half hours once you get to the high school and middle school. The elementary will just be six hours because their brains are still developing. There will also be no overpriced foods. The weather will go through all four seasons and we will have an unlimited amount of snow days. Our government will be as fair as it could be. There will be no racial profiling at all. Most importantly everyone will be treated the same.

If I were able to change the world somehow I would change our education. If I could change the way we learn, I would change a lot. Learning is always hard. It’s hard to focus on a boring subject. So if I could change the way that things are taught a certain way I would. We learn by listening to the teacher talk, all we are doing is sitting there not standing or not having fun. The teachers enjoy teaching because that’s what they picked to do. We don’t have a choice to go to school because it’s a law. If I could change the way we learn, it would be to change the subjects we learn and the way we do things.

In my perfect world the laws would be almost the same, but if our society starts to over populate we will have to resorte to only being able to have 2 children a family. If a family has three kids then we will give the youngest one to a family that has no children or one child. Like today we would still have to vote for who the leader/president is. We would try to have no war and peace, but most likely that’s not going to happen. You can be apart of any religion or culture. Last word “utopia”

I would also make it so there would haven’t as much sexal assult on woman from people with men with power. I would make it so people would have the write to do anything they wanted to do as long as it was in the laws and it would not be harmful to the people around them. I would convert to only nuclear power. I would raise the pay amounts for the jobs that are using physical labor. I would have the people that criticizes the president stop and do something more helpful than try to criticizes whoever the president and the white house officials may be. I would have run down buildings that no one uses bought and a sanctuary for people without homes. I would make people 18 and up have a job unless they physically or mentally can't do it. Your choice to retire at 60. I would have a security system in every house. ( cheap monitors for the poor but don’t have to pay pay half like the middle class if they want a better one. The middle class has to pay have and have what ever one they can afford half of and wealthy has to pay for their own.)

What would a perfect world look like? This is a question that many have asked. My perfect world would consist of people who care about not only themselves, but everyone else. If everyone was kind and no one was mean there would be no need for wars. I also think in this perfect world everyone will get the help they need. If this happened everyone could get the food and shelter they need. There also would no political parties. This past year America has been torn apart because of the opposing views of other individuals. We always judge others when we realize their political opinion. We need to learn to agree to disagree with their political opinion. Another thing this perfect world would have is that animal cruelty wouldn’t happen. Every animal on this world is innocent. We just see some of them with fear, but they’re just like us, trying to survive and only do things because it’s in their nature. Also animals don’t deserve to be caged, hit, starved to death, or experimented on. Lastly, the world would see everyone's inner beauty instead of just their outer. We create this image of what the ‘perfect’ person would look like, but we never consider on how that person would act. A lot of us learn to look up to role models because of their physical appearance, but who we need to look up to are those who are trying to improve our society. Some problems this perfect world might have is the lost in jobs. If we’re all are kind to others their would be no reason to have police or judges. My main concern if we created a perfect world would be the lost in books and movies and T.V shows. Many of books and movies and T.V shows are created from problems in our world, if there are no more problems then we don’t need any heroes to journey through it and try to save it. We look up to those heroes which I find strange because we want to be them, we want to live in the world they live in even though it’s not perfect we see it as perfect.

I agree with everything you said! Being kind to everyone is very important, as well as looking below the surface and seeing people for who they are, not what they look like. Your response is very thoughtful, including treating animals fairly, being nice to everyone, and considering who could be affected by this supposedly perfect world. I admit I probably wouldn't have thought of the fact that people like policemen and judges would not have a job, or that we would lose all of the wonderful stories out there. I would also add more time in the school day for studying and relaxing, because school becomes very stressful. To make the school day even more enjoyable I would replace all school buses with charter buses, sot hat students could have a more relaxing and comfortable travel.

Gwen I agree with what you are saying but is changing the school day the most important thing to change. There are some points I agree with you like not giving out no more than 3 pages of homework and relaxing on the bus

One thing I would change in our education system today is to have less homework. I think that we should have less homework because many students have things outside of school that they are busy with like, sports or things that involve music. If these activities are for a long time it can be very stressful to get the amount homework that we have done. One flaw with this is we might not do as well on tests and quizzes but otherwise it’s a good rule

I personally think that this would improve our education system also. Everything you said in this is very accurate for most students. School is stressful and with after school commitments it is hard to do it all. Though you stated this flaw, I don't believe giving us a little less homework would effect our grade negatively, because if the teachers explain things well, then we should understand and things should clear up while trying to remember information instead of it getting clouded up by only remembering the stress it caused. I believe you ideas are very good.

I agree with all your ideas very much. Though you gave a negative I don't think it applies. We do worse on tests and quizzes when under stress. Homework gives us stress, with less homework we could focus on what we are doing instead of what we have left to do. We might even put more time into studying. If teachers devote to teaching in very much detail then we will understand and not as much homework will be necessary.

My perfect world would be where everyone is equal, and no one has the mindset to think that people with different features have a different personality or should be treated differently. Many events revolve around human rights today. I think all people are equal and should be treated with respect, but some people don’t agree with my opinion, and that’s okay. Whether someone is a person of color, a different race, gender, or sexuality other than white, straight, or American, everyone does the same actions. I asked my mom what it was like when she was younger, and she said it wasn’t as bad as it is today. I really do hope this problem doesn’t become worst in time like it has today, and more and more people will finally realized that everyone is equal and should be treated with fair respect.

My perfect world would contain having school for only 4 days and also having school start from 9:00 because sleep is important. Also in the perfect world I would have more high-tech buses with AC and heating sources. And We should all be able to vote no matter what the ages because it is important to get everyone's opinion. And we should have cars that use no gas because in a lot of spot of the earth people can not breathe because of air pollution.

My perfect world is…. A sports world. This world would contain all kinds of sports, basketball, football, lacrosse, soccer, baseball, hockey, and plenty more. The president of this world would be carmelo anthony, and the laws would contain, you have to play a sport for at least an hour, no bullying, have to do homework before sports, no playing sports without getting school work done and finally if you are mean to anyone, then you can't play any sports for the day!! The citizens would have to be athletes and athletes only. This is a great impact on the citizens because if you love playing multiple different sports, all you have to do is jump on a golf cart and drive to the other sports destination. The negative impacts about this is once you get sick of the world, doing the same thing repetitively every single day, day after day. The education in this world was a 5 hour school day containing math, ela, science, social studies (spanish, french or chinese) and the extra classes like gym, music, etc. everybody would have to pay roughly $300 every month to support the community.

In my perfect world there would be no guns or violence, and everybody would feel safe and protected. All voting would be completely fair. Our leaders would be chosen because they are right for the job, not because they are the favorite. There would be no nuclear weapons. Every single country would get along and the world would live in harmony. NO child would worry or not be able to sleep at night. No child would be abandoned, assaulted, or abused. Every child would have their best shot at life. Nobody would be homeless and everybody would be happy. Everyone would be grateful for what they have. No one would be discriminated or judged based on their skin color, religion, or appearance. There would be no wars. And lastly, everything would be calm and peaceful. All other laws of our country would apply. Everything would be wonderful!

In my perfect world, we would have a good president and Trump would have been impeached. We would try to conserve water, trees, and energy sources as much as possible. We would also make sure that our water is clean and our air isn’t polluted by limiting the use of fossil fuels, and replacing them with hydropower, solar energy, wind energy, etc. We wouldn’t have to change much in terms of education, because I think our current school system works pretty well. We would have just and fair laws, so we wouldn’t have to change much there. We would also get rid of state electoral votes, and just count individual votes to elect new government official. That would make the system simpler in my opinion. Everyone would be nice to each other, so we wouldn’t need law enforcement and police officers to prevent crime, because there would be no crime. I think that would create as close as possible to a perfect world.

Hi Isaiah, I like your idea of a perfect world, but it has a few major flaws. An example of one of the most glaring issues is that many people view president Trump as a capable president, so what would you do to calm the masses of people who would protest against his impeachment? Also, who would fund the change from fossil fuels to clean energy? Projects like that take a large sum of money and time to develop. Finally, assuming that everyone is nice to each other and law enforcement is phased out, where would all of those jobs go? You could say that they could work on the new clean energy initiatives, but going from a cop to an engineer is a very large change that could leave many people without jobs. I really wish that this world could be real, but due to monetary, political, and economical challenges, this world may not be as perfect as it sounds. Thanks for writing a great post.

In a more perfect world the goverment(s) would invest money trying to make peace treadys, the money the goverment saves on military spending can be used to invest in recycycling, switching cars with bikes and other methods of preventing global warming. At a young age telivision shows and other media will teach kids compassion and acceptince of all races, religions and sexualities. Protests would be accepted and put under consideration by the goverment to try to make the world a better place and prevent revolution. Seince America uses the 2nd most electricity, the componys should save by shutting it down for about 2 hours in the middle of the night where little to no people are using it. Commercials will promote eating healthy to prevent obecity. Gun rights will be stricter haveing no people with a past at a mental instutution or heavy anger management having anything concelable to prevent shootings and even people with a clean record shouldn’t be able to buy anything they want. Overall I belive this will make the world a more peacful and less wasteful place.

In my “perfect” world is not very different from our world today. People would have an education math, history ect. Homeless people would get to live in a shelter until they can find a job. Laws will come and go some will stay and some will get demolished. People will go to jail if committed a crime. Those are some things that would be in my perfect world.
